About

I started Art Party Online as a natural extension of Art Party Boise (a mobile painting studio in Boise, Idaho) as a way to reach more people and further my goal of making art as accessible as possible to as many people as possible. This is a labor of love for my long-distance people, my dearest introverts, and the world at large. It is a vessel that allows me to connect with people like you to strengthen your creative confidence and help tap into a part of your Self that exists in a place beyond words. I know the healing power of art making, I also know it’s potential to empower, and the simple joy that the act of creating brings. I hope to bring you a tool that allows you to explore this in a safe place–alone or with others–at a pace that is right for you wherever you are. Additionally, it allows me to create an influx of funding to put toward advancing arts education on a local and global level, which I will create a blog about as these programs are fully developed.

I have been teaching art professionally for more than half a decade, after leaving a career in Developmental Therapy. I attended Boise State University where I studied Fine Arts and Graphic Design. Currently, in addition to my own fine art creation and making these lovely little videos, I am focusing on carving out a new niche as a Creative Literacy Specialist and Innovation Trainer bringing a new approach to problem solving and teamwork in business.

I believe in living a life full of adventure and wonder, seeking out any opportunity to expand my horizons and experience the beauty in the mundane to the bizarre. I am married to my art school sweetheart and raising two adorable little weirdos who adventure with me and keep me looking at the world in awe. I love coffee, yoga, travel, indie film, craft cider and being in the water. My life is a work in progress, and hopefully will always be.

If you’re looking for an outlet or guidance for expressing yourself through color and making an impact while you’re at it, this is the service for you! If you’re not quite ready to jump into a membership, remember you can try it out for a month and cancel at any time, or you can join the Art Party Online facebook group to stay inspired and motivated. I do hope you’ll join me!

Peace, Love, & Paintbrushes,
Tahirih
