You might be wondering…

What is an art party, anyway?

It is a way to connect everyday people with their creativity.

Expertly guided acrylic painting lessons are tailored for your success. Built on half a decade of experience teaching painting nights out, we’ve decided to deliver the same fun paintings in a variety of styles so you can create when and where it’s most convenient for you. We give guidance every step of the way so you can relax and enjoy the experience.

Most importantly, Art Parties are for everyone, regardless of age, experience, or ability.

I’m really not artistic, I don’t think I can do this!

Each painting has been designed for, and tested by painters with no experience. The instructions are given step-by-step with as much time as you need in between to work. Plus you can rewind and rewatch; you know what they say about practice…

If you’re feeling nervous, I invite you to think of this as art play, not art work. Have fun with it and explore the process without too much expectation on the outcome. It might not be perfect, but I promise it at least makes it more fun!

What if I need help?

We have a welcoming and supportive community of painters just like you, plus a collective of experienced artists who are just waiting for you to join us. You can ask questions and get feedback and extra instruction directly from instructors and the founder of Art Parties herself. As an added bonus, inside this community you’ll get bonus Art Party tutorials, and mini-courses from a new Artist in Residence each month.

How much time do I have to use the videos?

Your membership guarantees 24/7 access from any web-connected device to the library of acrylic painting instructional videos. You’ll get new videos as soon as they’re released, and keep them for as long as you’re a member… whether that’s a month or a lifetime.

Can I use this in my place of work or to hold my own event?

Standard subscribers cannot use the video content in any for-profit context (ie charging people to paint… even for a donation). This means that you’re agreeing not to host events for customers or clients. If this is something that you’d like to do, check out our Business, Organization, and Education licenses– they come with discounted prices on supplies to get you started and keep you going, extra help to ensure a great event, and a clean conscience.

If you purchase an Art Party in a Box to host a party for friends and family, you can totally split the bill for the supplies cost, just don’t share your login access. (We’re a small business, not Amazon Prime, ya know.)

How can I get a classroom on the list to receive a gifted license?

It’s pretty simple! The classroom teacher can email us at from their official school email account with “Classroom Request” in the subject.

Our list is built on a first-come, first-serve basis. The best way to ensure you get a license gifted ASAP is to help share the word about Art Party Online and our mission.

Meet The Founder
I started Art Party Online as a natural extension of Art Party Boise (a mobile painting studio in Boise, Idaho) as a way to reach more people and further my goal of making art as accessible as possible to as many people as possible. This is a labor of love for my long-distance people, my dearest introverts, and the world at large. It is a vessel that allows me to connect with people like you to strengthen your creative confidence and help tap into a part of your Self that exists in a place beyond words. I know the healing power of art making, I also know it’s potential to empower, and the simple joy that the act of creating brings. I hope to bring you a tool that allows you to explore this in a safe place–alone or with others–at a pace that is right for you wherever you are. Additionally, it allows me to create an influx of funding to put toward advancing arts education on a local and global level, which I will create a blog about as these programs are fully developed.

I have been teaching art professionally for more than half a decade, after leaving a career in Developmental Therapy. I attended Boise State University where I studied Fine Arts and Graphic Design. Currently, in addition to my own fine art creation and making these lovely little videos, I am focusing on carving out a new niche as a Creative Literacy Specialist and Innovation Trainer bringing a new approach to problem solving and teamwork in business.

I believe in living a life full of adventure and wonder, seeking out any opportunity to expand my horizons and experience the beauty in the mundane to the bizarre. I am married to my art school sweetheart and raising two adorable little weirdos who adventure with me and keep me looking at the world in awe. I love coffee, yoga, travel, indie film, craft cider and being in the water. My life is a work in progress, and hopefully will always be.

If you’re looking for an outlet or guidance for expressing yourself through color and making an impact while you’re at it, this is the service for you! If you’re not quite ready to jump into a membership, remember you can try it out for a month and cancel at any time, or you can join the Art Party Online facebook group to stay inspired and motivated. I do hope you’ll join me!

Peace, Love, & Paintbrushes,
